On February the 28th we celebrated "The English Day" and during the morning we went to see our partners of 2nd, 4th and 5th Year of Primary that acted out along with the language assistants two plays in English. The main characters were animals from the sea in particular a fish and a whale: "The Rainbow fish" and "Moby Dick". We chose these two stories because the topic of our cultural week was "Oceans: biodiversity and its conservation" also it was the commemoration of the 161 years of the publication of "Moby Dick" written by the American Herman Melville and 200 hundred years of his birth.
El 28 de febrero celebramos "The English Day" y durante la mañana fuimos a ver a nuestros compañeros de 2º, 4º y 5º de Primaria que representaron junto a los auxiliares de conversación dos obras en inglés cuyos protagonistas eran animales del mar en concreto un pez y una ballena: "The Rainbow fish" "El pez arco iris" y "Moby Dick". Elegimos estas dos historias porque el tema de nuestra semana cultural ha sido "Océanos: biodiversidad y su conservación" además se cumplen los 161 años de la publicación de la obra "Moby Dick", escrita por el estadounidense Herman Melville y los 200 años de su nacimiento.

We appreciate the participation of the students acting out these plays and especially to the language assistants for their dedication and collaboration writing the scripts and rehearsing with the kids. Well done and good job!
