CHRISTMAS - NAVIDAD

The end of the year 2019 has arrived and we have done many activities related to Christmas. First of all we learn some Christmas Carols and vocabulary related to it. We decorated a stocking and wrote a letter to Father Christmas we also made a art and craft activity using playdough related to The Wise Men or Three Kings we learnt how to write a Christmas Card to our families.

Ha llegado el final del año 2019 y con él llega la Navidad, hemos aprendido villancicos y vocabulario en inglés sobre el tema. Además hemos decorado un calcetín y escrito una carta a Papá Noel, también hemos realizado una tarjeta navideña representado a los Reyes Magos con plastilina y  hemos escrito a nuestras familias para deseándoles una Feliz Navidad.

We have finish this term with a Christmas Festival for the parents and for our school mates. We sang a song about a Little Snowman and dressed up in white with woolen scarfs and hats. Our teachers are proud of us because we did it a great job!

Hemos acabado el trimestre con el Festival Navideño para las familias y los compañeros. Nuestra canción era sobre un Pequeño Muñeco de Nieve, nos hemos vestido de blanco con bufandas y gorros de lana para la ocasión. Nuestras profesoras están muy orgullosas por nuestra gran actuación.

We celebrated a party we ate and danced and wish each other a Merry Christmas! ¡Celebramos una fiesta comimos y bailamos para despedir el trimestre y desearnos una feliz Navidad!

E-TWINNING PROJECT " ENGLISH & SPANISH CULTURAL EXCHANGE"

This term we have exchanged two giant Christmas Cards made by 1st and 2nd graders with the British School Cringle Brook School in Manchester as an activity related to the project E-Twinning "English &Spanish Cultural Exchanges" that we started last year. We hope to get their cards when we come back from Christmas Holidays. The topics for our cards have been Father Christmas and The Wise Men or Three Kings two traditions that we share in Spain one of them because of the anglosaxon influence and the other one a tradition with Cristian origen.

Este trimestre hemos intercambiado dos tarjetas gigantes realizadas por los alumnos de 1º y 2º con el colegio Cringle Brook School en Manchester como actividad del proyecto E-Twinning "English & Spanish Cultural Exchanges"que ya iniciamos el curso pasado. Esperamos recibir sus tarjetas a la vuelta de vacaciones de Navidad. Hemos escogido como tema Papá Noel y los Reyes Magos dos tradiciones que compartimos en España, una de ellas por influencia anglosajona y la otra tradición de origen cristiano.

CONCIERTO MÚSICA MEDIEVAL

Hemos podido disfrutar de un concierto medieval interpretado por las profesoras de Música y Educación Infantil y la participación especial del profesor de 2º de Primaria, con motivo del proyecto sobre "Los Castillos " desarrollado en Educación Infantil durante este primer trimestre. Los alumnos de Educación Infantil, 1º y 2º han disfrutado mucho con esta actuación.

SALUD BUCO DENTAL

Han venido las enfermeras y el dentista de Madrid Salud para revisar nuestros dientes y hablarnos sobre la importancia de mantener una buena salud buco-dental, para ello es muy importante lavarse bien los dientes todos los días, pero especialmente después de comer golosinas y dulces. Para mantener nuestros dientes sanos debemos alimentarnos bien comiendo mucha fruta, verdura y lácteos y evitando los alimentos que contienen grandes cantidades de azúcar como son los zumos envasados, la bollería industrial y las chucherías o golosinas. Desde el colegio os animamos a traer una fruta todos los días para el desayuno de medio día los dientes de vuestros hijos e hijas lo agradecerán.

Para mejorar la salud buco dental de los alumnos de 1º de Primaria a partir del segundo trimestre iniciaremos los enjuagues con fluor una vez por semana.

HALLOWEEN

This school year we have done many activities for Halloween. We decorated the classroom's walls, windows, doors and the  corridor.

Esta año hemos realizado muchas actividades para Halloween. Hemos decorado las paredes de la clase, las ventanas, puertas y el pasillo.

Some of us have carved a pumpkin with our families at home and we have made a great exhibition at the school hall. They were very spooky indeed!
 Algunos hemos tallado una calabaza con nuestras familias en casa y con ellas se ha hecho una exposición en la entrada del cole. ¡Han quedado muy terroríficas!

It was a busy day we cooked "Mommies" in the classroom and then we ate them in the playground.

Fue un día muy ajetreado cocinamos "Momias" en la clase y luego nos las comimos en el patio.

We also learnt a scary poem by heart called "The School is full of Monsters" and we acted it out for our friends in teams.
Durante la semana aprendimos un poema de memoria titulado "El colegio está lleno de Monstruos" y luego lo representamos delante de los compañeros por equipos.

Emily told us how she celebrates Halloween at home in the United States with her instructions we turned into different spooky things like: cats, witches, vampires, monsters, ghosts, etc. 

Emily nos contó como celebra Halloween en su casa en Estados Unidos con su ayuda e instrucciones  nos íbamos transformando en brujas, vampiros, monstruos, fantasmas y otras cosas.
