When our teacher says that we're going to do an experiment we get so excited and nervous that can't stop shouting and moving. It's because we love experiment time! So the first thing to do is relax and breath in and out for a few minutes. Once we're relaxed our teacher can explain to us what we are going to do.
Cuando vamos a realizar un experimento nos ponemos muy excitados y nerviosos, porque nos gustan mucho, así que lo primero ha sido relajarnos con unas respiraciones.
We have grown a lot since we started grade 1, so we are more patient and careful when we have to pour the ingredients.

The experiment has been very interesting we had to think and make a hypothesis what would it happen if we put water with colouring food in the milk? These are some of our predictions:
- Colours will mix said some friends; colours won't mix said others.

And what would it happen when we put the q-tip covered in soap?
- Colours will mix; colours will became white like the milk; blue and yellow will make green...

Milk is mostly water but it also contains fats. When you add the colour dyes, they float because they are less dense than the milk. When the soap goes into action, the dyes begin to run all over the dish mixing and twisting and creating a sensational effect.
La leche es en su mayor parte agua pero también contiene grasas. Cuando añades los colorantes, estos flotan porque son menos densos que la leche pero cuando el jabón entra en acción, los colorantes empiezan a correr por todo el plato mezclándose y retorciéndose creando un efecto sensacional.
Two things have happened; the first is that the soap breaks the surface tension of the milk and the colors are thrown away from the soap. The second is that soap has a mission to fulfill, which is to trap fats. This causes the milk to move creating currents in which the dyes are trapped. When the soap catches all the fat, the movement ceases.
Han sucedido dos cosas; la primera es que el jabón rompe la tensión superficial de la leche y los colores salen despedidos alejándose del jabón. La segunda es que el jabón tiene una misión que cumplir, que es atrapar grasas. Esto hace que la leche se mueva creando corrientes y remolinos en los que quedan atrapados los colorantes. Cuando el jabón atrapa toda la grasa, el movimiento cesa.
