EXPERIMENT TIME! CALCULATE THE VOLUME OF A SOLID

We have investigated about matter. We know that matter has mass and volume. Mass is the amount of matter that an object has and volume is the measure of the amount of space an object takes up.
We made an experiment in groups  to calculate the volume of different irregular objects we  followed the next steps:
First we filled a beaker with 300 ml of water. Next we drop the solid object in. After that we noticed that the volume of water was higher. The movement of water is known as displacement. The amount of water moved it's the volume of the solid and it's measured in cubic centimetres. We had to remember that 1ml is equal to 1 cubic centimetre.

In these pictures we are doing the experiment it was great fun and we learnt a lot about volume.
