CHRISTMAS-NAVIDAD

We have learnt a carol in English and Spanish for the Christmas festival called Feliz Navidad by Celine Dion.  We've also made a Christmas card for our families or friends and finally we drew pictures related to Christmas for the Christmas card school contest. We didn't win, but four of our drawings were selected by the jury.

VISITAMOS LA BIBLIOTECA DE VILLA DE VALLECAS

Somos muy afortunados al poder disfrutar de  una biblioteca tan bonita en el barrio. Hemos ido a visitarla y las bibliotecarias nos han mostrado cómo podemos buscar los libros que nos gustan utilizando el catálogo del ordenador. Para que entendiéramos mejor su trabajo nos mostraron un video de Fineas y Fer y luego nos plantearon un juego en equipos muy misterioso dónde teníamos que ayudar a un arqueólogo a encontrar una figura de un gato en las pirámides de Egipto a través de pistas. Fue muy divertido y aprendimos cómo buscar y encontrar los libros que más nos gustan en la biblioteca. Además nos contaron un cuento en la bebeteca sobre un perro sorprendente hecho de tinta.

FIRST DAYS OF SCHOOL

We started the new school year welcoming our friends. We drew our friends faces and decorated our door's classrooms.

Comenzaamos el curso dando la bienvenida a nuestros compañeros. Dibujamos a nuestro compañero y con ellos decoramos nuestra puerta de clase.

THANKSGIVING 2015

Alexi, our conversation assistant from USA, showed us a video about the story of Thanksgiving and she explained to us how americans celebrate that day in family and at schools.

We made a turkey with our hands and wrote five things we are thankful for. 

 It was a good way to learn about the American culture.

PREHISTORY

This term we've learnt about Prehistory. We worked in teams to make posters about the three periods of Prehistory: Paleolithic, Neolithic and Bronze and Iron Ages. We also made posters about cave painting.

We also decorate our corridor with cave painting. We used sticks, feathers and brushes to paint them. 

First of all we creased the paper to make it look like a rock. Then we drew our designs and finally we colouered them using red, brown and black paints.

MONSTER CHEF

This school year we turned into chefs to cast a magic spell. We thought about the ingredients we were going to use to turn a child into a zombie or to become invisible. Then we wrote the recipe and finally we rehearse our spells.

We celebrated Halloween acting our spells in front of our friends and teachers. 

Our costumes were very creepy! 

                       

Our teacher recorded us and we watched our videos in class. 

This was a good way to improve our English and have fun at the same time!
