WATER EXPERIMENT "ARCHIMEDES IS BACK"

This is one of the experiments for our Erasmus + project "Science through experiment in Europe" Achimedes is back! Having fun with water experiments! Calculate the volume of matter.

These are the materials you need

     

First mark 200 ml water level

Add 200 ml of water

Put the object in the jug

Mark the displacement of water

Calculate the volume by taking away the level of water before and after putting the object.

Register the results and compare the volume of different objects.

HALLOWEEN IS HERE AGAIN!

As every school year we celebrate Halloween at the end of October. It's a very spooky celebration, we all wear scary costumes and prepare different activities to do on Friday afternoon.

This year we've learned a poem called "A dark, dark tale" in teams of five we acted out the poem using our bodies to illustrate the different places in the poem. It was great fun!

We also learned a song called "Halloween night" it's about a boy walking down the street on Halloween night and all the scary monsters and other strange sites he finds. 

After that we watched a spooky video about the poem we learnt, some of us have to close our eyes and covered our ears because we were very frightened.

Finally we sang "trick or treat" to get our Halloween sweets.

It was an unforgetable afternoon! Happy Halloween to all of you!

LOGO AND LEMA CONTEST ERASMUS + PROJECT

We're taking part in an Erasmus + project about Science with other five schools from Romania, Slovenia, Poland, Turkey and Greece. It's about natural science experiments the first topic we are going to work with is water, in the second term we'll do experiments about magnetism and electricity and the third term about the human body.

We have to choose a logo and lema for our project during the first visit to Romania, so we have desinged different logos in our classroom and picked three for the school contest.

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES 26th SEPTEMBER

Hemos iniciado el curso, con un gran reencuentro, hablando de nuestras vacaciones, conociendo a nuevos compañeros y compañeras y a las profesoras y profesores de este curso.

Además nuestras profesoras nos han contando la cantidad de cosas divertidas que vamos a aprender en cada asignatura y los proyectos que vamos a desarrollar a lo largo de este curso escolar.

Entre ellos se encuentra un proyecto Europeo llamado "Science through experiment in Europe" " La ciencia a través de los experimentos en Europa". Así que hemos celebrado el día de las lenguas europeas, para irnos familiarizando con las banderas e idiomas que se hablan en los países socios que son: Eslovenia, Rumanía, Polonia, Turquía y Grecia.

FIESTA DEL AGUA Y FIN DE CURSO

El 21 de junio finalizamos el curso escolar y para conmemorar dicha fecha nos despedimos con una fiesta del agua organizada por las profesoras de Educación Física actuando como monitores de cada juego los alumnos de 6º de Primaria. Había juegos de agua como: la colchoneta deslizante, relevos de camareros, llenar el cubo de agua con una pelota de espuma, el borracho, pasar el globo de agua a ritmo del tambor, bomba y juegos de secano como las chapas, la comba y el pañuelo.

Disfrutamos muchísimo, especialmente en la colchoneta deslizante.

Después de cambiarnos y descansar volvimos a las aulas a realizar nuestra fiesta particular de fin de curso donde bailamos, cantamos, comimos y nos despedimos algunos con gran emoción al decir adiós a nuestros compañeros y profesoras.

SALIDA AL CERRO ALMODOVAR

Como salida de fin de curso visitamos el Cerro Almodóvar o Cerro Gordo como lo conocen los niños del barrio. Hicimos una pequeña senda hasta culminar la cima desde donde disfrutamos de unas buenas vistas de la ciudad, alcanzamos el vértice geodésico y allí nos hicimos unas fotos. Bajamos hasta el pinar donde desayunamos y luego hicimos juegos cooperativos como el de las cuatro esquinas y el pañuelo. De regreso al colegio paramos en los parques, fue un día caluroso pero nos llevamos bonitos recuerdos.
